Job Summary
The Production Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to a crew of production employees to achieve site goals including safety performance continuous improvement and team development.This role is responsible for developing and enhancing skill sets of current employees across multiple aspects of the production process through robust training and coaching opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all GFSI ISO cGMP HACCP Food Safety Food Defense Prerequisite programs operating procedures are in place trained in compliance
- Participate in plant safety activities completing safety audits toolbox talks coaching sessions
Coordinate supervise batching processing areas ensure adherence quality specifications
Coordinate receiving material-handling personnel departments parallel Traffic Inventory Management leads Manage communicate scrapped material inventory recycling sale Ensure safe processes conditions activity management SHE Establish adjust procedures meet production schedules efficiencies budget objectives Verify accuracy quality daily production explore ways streamlining processes reducing waste Direct daily setup process filling areas Responsible training coaching evaluating performance assigned staff maximize employee engagement desired outcomes Ensures plant compliance company local state federal standards safety environmental requirements Communicate changes Production Manuals procedures SQF standards Take active involvement Company quality continuous improvement initiatives root cause identification participation improvement teams e.g ISO audits Encourage facilitate hourly workforce Assist SSHE manager quarterly annual training that occur
