    The Chapel Hill Country Club is looking for Food Runners to join our fun and dedicated team While we are a country club, the environment is warm, friendly, and informal. Our members enjoy getting to know the team and welcoming new faces to the Club

    We are a team that values a strong work ethic and a passion for excellence. This is a great way to learn about the dining and hospitality business and have fun while you do it

    Food Runners are responsible for supporting Food and Beverage Staff and Servers in all aspects of food service including carrying food and trays to designated tables. The role includes communication with Servers and kitchen staff to determine what's needed during a shift and pitch in to provide a seamless flow from kitchen to table. Food Runners support banquet events and service including set up services and break down/cleanup duties at end of service. Quality delivery and presentation is a big part of this role. Staff is expected to uphold the highest level of hygiene and food handling procedures/standards.

    FULL TIME AND PART-TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE

    Must commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week and if part-time one shift must be on Saturday or Sunday. (flexibility to be full time and benefits eligible by committing to a regular 30 hours a week schedule)

    Shifts Available

    • Tuesday -Friday 10:30am - 4:30pm
    • Tuesday - Friday 4:30pm - 9:30pm
    • Saturday and Sunday Lunch/Brunch 11am - 4pm
    • Saturday Evening Banquets and Events 4:30pm - 11:00pm
    • Sunday Dinner 4:30pm - 8:00pm

    Qualifications Required:

    • Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Be courteous and kind at work
    • At least one year of experience in a restaurant or country club
    • Prefer previous food running experience
    • Be at least 18 years old
    • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, bend, lift (up to 25lbs) and move tables, chairs, food trays, etc.

    Responsibilities:

    • Learn and maintain detailed menu knowledge including all ingredient and the of each menu item, including daily/weekly specials
    • Identify special requests and ensure handled appropriately
    • Understand food allergen risks and take steps to handle appropriately
    • Ensure all orders on the ticket are ready to deliver before sending food to table
    • Learn and maintain knowledge of dining room table and seat numbers
    • Tray & table steps of service
    • Assist with set up, execution, and breakdown of the dining room and/or banquet events
    • Adhere to Club standards and procedures
    • Build, promote, and maintain collaborative relationships with the Back of the House and Front of the House team
