Description

What You'll Do:
As the

Network Engineer , you will support an innovative NAVAIR program that directly supports our Warfighter. This is a

100% on-site

position based at NAS Patuxent River, MD.

Responsibilities will include:
Implementing operating systems and network device security configuration in accordance with Defense Information Systems
Agency (DISA) approved Security Technical Implementation Guides
Specifying, configuring, and administering boundary devices (i.e., managed switches, proxy servers, routers, firewalls, cryptography, and intrusion detection systems); managing remote switches and routing
Performing vulnerability assessments using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker, incorporating automated Benchmarks
Correcting flaws and implementing technical controls in the hardware or software installed within the network environment
Managing, architecting, and implementing physical networks to include logical need-to-know separation between data

Requirements

Who You Are:
You hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related STEM degree
You have at least 6 years of experience as a network engineer/architect and computer systems administrator.

*If no degree is held, 12 years of experience as an IT technician on DoD classified networks will be required.

You have 6 years of experience using the DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Management Program (IAVMP)
You have working knowledge of Ethernet, Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI), TCP/IP, CISCO IOS, Inside Plant (ISP), and Outside Plant (OSP)
You have demonstrated proficiency with Visio for LNDs
Bonus if you have experience with Multi-Level Security
Knowledge of basic networking sets such as CCNA or equivalent and experience/training with CISCO NX-OS
You possess DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information

Assurance Technical Level (IAT) II

in accordance with DoD M, (i.e., GSEC, Security +CE, SCP and Vendor certification and IT Training Provider certificate for network environment main operating system)

Security Clearance Requirements:
This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active

DoD Top Secret

clearance.
