    Description
    Black River Memorial Hospital is recruiting for a full-time Psychiatrist. This position is benefited, 80 hours per pay period. Primarily Monday through Friday. This position includes the Hospital's generous benefits package.

    Maintains standards of excellence in accordance with standards set forth by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the National Association of Social Work, the Joint Commission, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, and the policies and procedures of the organization.

    Provide regularly scheduled psychiatric patient care. Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with behavioral health disorders.

    Must have an interest in or experience with Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment and be prepared to prescribe medication-assisted treatment for addiction when medically appropriate.

    Receives consults from a multidisciplinary team based on new patient assessment, patients who are not improving as expected under their current treatment plan, physicians' orders, and multidisciplinary huddles.

    May include consults for patients in the hospital with a non-psychiatric diagnosis who could benefit from a psychiatric assessment.
    Assesses and makes clinical evaluations of a patient's behavioral health and diagnose illness.

    Incorporates a multidisciplinary approach to include the patient, clinic staff, and patient's family/significant others to develop and implement a plan to meet the patient's needs.

    Participates in multidisciplinary planning meetings and care conferences.
    Safely and effectively assesses and decides the best course of treatments based on current clinical standards of care.
    Clearly document, in the electronic health record, services provided, treatment plans, and progress reports consistent with documentation guidelines.

    Work with the behavioral health care team to oversee the status and population health of the patient caseload and assist in prioritizing patients for case review and treatment adjustment.


    Educational Qualifications:
    Doctorate's Degree
    Must be licensed to practice psychiatry in the state of Wisconsin and maintain good standing on the Black River Memorial Hospital medical staff
    American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Board Certification
    Completion of a psychiatry residency program; Prefer experience with primary care psychiatry #J-18808-Ljbffr
