    WORK LOCATION: This is a remote/virtual position. Candidates can be based anywhere within the United States.

    We are currently hiring motivated, talented individuals to support nuclear / radiological design engineering efforts for Small Modular Reactor (SMR), Advanced Reactor (AR), and medical isotope facility design projects that are in the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases. This is an opportunity to work on the next generation of smaller-scale, modular nuclear power plants, and nuclear technologies.

    You will work with multi-discipline engineering project teams engaged in the design and engineering of upgrades and modifications to existing nuclear power plants in the following areas:

  • Radiological dose calculations
  • Shielding design calculations
  • Radiation source term calculations
  • Radiation monitoring systems
  • In addition, you will:

  • Work on both domestic and international nuclear power plant projects
  • Travel to client offices and nuclear plant site locations to attend project progress meetings
  • Address emergent issues and provide technical support to our nuclear clients
  • Qualifications

  • US citizenship or US permanent resident status is mandatory
  • BS in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; MS degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of nuclear / radiological experience in the nuclear power industry
  • Experience with some or all of the following nuclear computer programs:RADTRADSCALE (ORIGEN)MCNPMicroShieldARCON96NRCDOSE (GASPAR, LADTAP, XOQDOQ)PAVANGALEWebTRAGIS / RADTRANMACCS
  • Experience in nuclear radiation monitoring system design is desired, but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • PE license desired, but not required
