Key Responsibilities:
Evaluating the drainage needs of open channels and storm sewer systems thru hydrology and hydraulic calculations
Working with junior staff and assisting in the direction of other technical staff to produce quality designs and plan
Calculating quantities and preparing cost estimates
The successful candidate must have/show:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
EIT Certification required
Texas PE License preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
3+ years experience in Transportation design and plan production
Practical working knowledge of the AASHTO Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, the Highway Capacity Manual, and the MUTCD as well as TxDOT Design manuals and processes
Experience with Microstation, Geopak or InRoads and/or other roadway design software
TxDOT experience
