Description
Senior Project ManagerMEPPI's Critical Power Service Division (CPSD) is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager who can plan, organize and manage proposals, documentation submittals, customer orders and customer communications for National Accounts.
Serve as primary contact between customer and Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD) from the proposal process through delivery of the equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as primary customer contact on assigned National Accounts. Collaborate with customers to identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones and required tasks.
Lead resolution of commercial and technical issues.
Organize, facilitate, and document kick-off meetings, customer meetings, design review meetings and factory tests.
Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans specifying goals, scheduling, resource allocation, risk identification and contingency plans. Ensure customer commitments are met and project costs remain within budget.
Negotiate price, delivery and other commercial terms associated with the project.
Oversee creation of documentation for customers including proposals, shop submittals, as-built documents and operation manuals.
Review change orders to maximize profit in a fair and equitable way.
Assist with communicating scopes of work and developing test plans.
Coordinate procurement, manufacture and delivery of CPSD products and systems.
Assist Inside Sales Application Engineering in creating documentation for customers, consultants, engineers, and contractors.
Review and approve all proposal documents, new order documentation, internal approvals, and customer-facing documentation.
Prepare project status reports and keep management, customers and others informed of project status and related issues. Attend customer project meetings and publish meeting minutes.
Further the goals and positive, professional image of the Critical Power Solutions Division by effective dealings with customers and other internal departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum 5 years of project management experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of project management and/or commercial construction concepts.Basic knowledge of Electrical Systems.
Advanced interpersonal and communication skills required to communicate with employees, vendors and customers.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and material.
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office applications including Project.
