    About the Organization and Position

    A wonderful, well-established non-profit in the East Orange, NJ area is searching for a Therapist / Clinician for their in home family based programs based in Essex County. The programs provide essential services to struggling families and provide much needed support to those facing mental health, separation and substance abuse issues.

    Low caseloads and flexible schedules

    Responsibilities

    • Provide assessments, care plans, therapy and discharge plans for clients.
    • Provides culturally competent, trauma-informed individual and family therapeutic services to youth and families both in-community and via telehealth.
    • Maintain client roster, through electronic health recording system and other duties as requested by DCF related to client records.
    • Attends all team meetings and in service training, maintains direct service LOS as required by DCF.

    Requirements

    Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in social work, Mental Health and Professional Counseling or equivalent field. Must be licensed as one of the following: LAC, LSW, LAMFT

    Experience. Two years' experience in mental health. Experience with diverse populations in an urban setting, familiarity with the child welfare system, complex trauma, culturally competent and some experience with children and families.

    Valid New Jersey driver's license, safe driving record, and vehicle availability are required.
