Job summary
The Guest Ambassador serves as a liaison between patients/visitors and the organization. This position welcomes guests, provides visitor passes and communicates directions, hospital policies procedures services.This role requires standing for all or part of shift physically assisting patients visitors.
A day in the life of a Guest Ambassador includes welcoming guests proactively greeting them using proper verbal non-verbal communication facilitating visitation in accordance with organizational policy remaiing visible positioning themselves at information desk with personal appearance conveying confidence professionalism adhering attire standards directing conference participants accurate conference areas investigating location meeting assistance escorting maternity cancer patients wheelchair other patients requiring assistance where applicable making confirmation calls completing sign-in Epic announcing patients registration answering telephone facilitating calls organizational departmental standards enforcing access control advising guests visiting access policies alerting security violations readily addressed de-escalation service recovery techniques assisting security situations lobby evacuation routine inquiries directs patient complaints appropriate individuals conducting environmental observations cleanliness noise following address issues area coverage lobby public restrooms wheelchairs maintaining accurate monetary exchange newspapers coordinating delivery mail flowers gifts adheres HMH hospital departmental policies procedures identifies reports trends Experience leader serves resource visitors waiting area high department morale smooth transition work maintaining good working relationship colleagues volunteers completing change shift requirements may stand all part shift physically assist patients visitors other duties projects assigned adheres HMH Organizational competencies standards behavior
