- Maintains assigned schedule
- Transports only authorized students
- Discharges students only at authorized stops
- Maintains discipline when students are on bus
- Obeys all traffic laws
- Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses
- Notifies the proper authority in case of equipment failure
- Keeps assigned bus clean and fueled
- Reports all accidents and complete required reports
- Follows all department procedures and policies outlined in handbook
- Able to climb 3 stairs, 3 feet in height, multiple times a day
- Ability to open and close school bus door
- Ability to get from the driver's seat, down a 12" aisle, to the rear emergency exit door in a "timely manner"
- Ability to set and release parking brake at every stop
- Able to open and close windows from the inside of the school bus
- Ability to exit rear emergency door
