    The Senior Project Engineer - TFS located in Lehi, UT isresponsible for supporting the management and administration ofmechanical, electrical, and project piping construction projectactivities as directed by the Project Manager.

    Is the mosthighly experienced technical leader, responsible for providingdetailed information to the field.

    Is expected to perform allthe duties of a Project Manager but does not hold finalfinancial responsibility for the outcome of the project.

    Thisposition could include managing and/or mentoring multipleproject engineers on large projects.

    Develops a comprehensive working knowledge andunderstanding of the contract documents (plans, specifications,schedule, etc)
    Prepares complete, accurate and timely projectdocumentation such as submittals and RFIs and maintains theassociated tracking logs
    Accountable for receiving approved submittals fromArchitects or Engineers and notifies the Project Team ofpotential cost and/or schedule impacts
    Assists Project Manager by preparing all necessary back uprelating to change order requests
    Assists the Project Team in the timely completion of allrequired project close-out documents per contract, includingturnover packages, as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties,owner training, punch lists, and other related items
    Distributes contract documents to downstreamsubcontractors, including drawings, specifications, generalconditions, and final requirement documentation. Include anyaccepted alternates or addendums with documents
    Schedules all required construction meetings with requiredpersonnel, subcontractors, Architects and Owners, as specifiedby the Project Manager
    Takes accurate and complete meeting minutes and distributestimely
    Attends Owner/Architect pre-bid, project and closeoutmeetings, as specified by the Project Manager
    Assists the Project Manager, Superintendent and Procurementwith purchasing, expediting and receiving material andequipment for the project
    Maintains good customer relations with the Owner,Architects, Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, publicofficials
    Maintains good relationships with field Supervisors and theworkforce
    Assists in the preparation, issuance, and receipt of bidpackages
    Manages the tracking, reproduction, and distribution of alldrawings, specifications and sketches and revisions
    Attends and participates in construction and other meetingsas required; taking and issuing meeting minutes as required

    Creates, updates, and maintains a variety of projectcontrols that track the status of individual projects or taskorders, changes to projects or task orders, request forinformation (RFI), shop drawings and submittal, mattersinvolving quality controls, safety, financial performance,close-out and other aspects of the project(s) or task order(s).

    Analyze reports and use personal influence to create prioritiesthat prevent delays to critical activities within the project
    Assists the Project Team in scheduling and executing theDesign/BIM Process. Work with design department to create,review and process shop drawings and other submittals that arerequired to document the construction process
    Manages or supports the change management process, byupdating logs, routing source documents to vendors, obtainingpricing, developing estimates and proposals, writing changeorders and other related activities
    Negotiate sand/or supports the process of negotiatingcontracts, subcontracts and purchase orders
    Proactively identifies issues that could lead to problemsand facilitate solutions
    Assists with the evaluation of projects forconstructability and value-engineer cost savings
    Participates in weekly staff meetings and industrynetworking functions
    Covers for the Project Manager when he or she is notavailable for a specific meetings or events
    Familiarizes oneself with the Project Manager jobdescription and works deliberately to acquire the knowledge andskills necessary to evolve into one of the stated roles

    High School Diploma or GED required
    Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering,or related field preferred
    OSHA 30 required
    5+ years of experience
    Experience working on construction projects (preferablySemiconductor and/or Pharmaceutical construction projects)
    Experience working in a fast paced environment
    Demonstrated ability to understand drawings andspecifications, contract documents, materials, means andmethods
    Knowledge of accounting principles, estimating,construction costs, scheduling, and purchasing
