Description

Under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Clinical Supervisor performs EKG ' s and maintains records related to those tests.

This position also p rovides health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.

Performs ultrasonic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate cardiac anatomy for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.




QUALIFICATIONS:


1. Graduate of an Accredited Sonography program or equivalent preferred.

2.

Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in Physics, Adult Cardiology, Pediatric Cardiology preferred at hire; required within 18 months of employment.

3. Current CPR certification required.

4.

Prior arrhythmia recognition training and successful passing of RCH basic arrhythmia recognition exam, or successful completion of RCH BART course if no prior training - required within 3 months of hire .
