    Job Summary

    The Assistant Educator provides support to the teaching staff, assisting with lesson planning, monitoring child development, and communicating with foster parents. This role requires a strong understanding of child development, excellent communication skills, and a nurturing teaching approach.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in developing lesson plans based on state requirements and individual child needs.
    • Collaborate with teachers to monitor child development.
    • Understand teacher routines and deliver lesson plans in their absence.
    • Work one-on-one with children to promote learning and development.
    • Communicate with foster parents about child progress and schedule changes.

    Requirements

    • Associate degree in education or early childhood education.
    • Valid ECE certification preferred.
    • 2+ years' experience as a Teacher Assistant or Paraprofessional.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish fluency.
    • Proficient computer skills and software knowledge.

    • Flexibility and willingness to work non-traditional hours.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Compassionate attitude and strong understanding of child development.
    • Nurturing teaching approach.
