    Coffee Creek Correctional Facility

    The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking to expand their team in the Behavioral Health Services unit at the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville, Oregon. This recruitment aims to build a pool of qualified candidates for current and future opportunities.

    These positions fall under the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees labor union and may be eligible for Police & Fire benefits through the Public Employees Retirement System.

    The Oregon Department of Corrections' mission is to enhance public safety by holding offenders accountable and reducing the likelihood of reoffending. The facility offers various levels of mental health care and personalized case management, particularly focused on adults in custody with severe mental health conditions.

    At Coffee Creek Correctional Facility, all female adults in custody in Oregon are accommodated. The facility conducts intake evaluations for both female and male individuals under state custody.

    • Identification and Assessments
    • Crisis Intervention

    Key Aspects:

    • Work in an adult prison environment
    • Interact with adults in custody during treatment, sometimes without direct security supervision
    • Potential exposure to verbally or physically aggressive individuals in custody
    • Requires alertness and caution

    Additional incentives:

    • 4.75% differential for licensed QMHPs

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in nursing AND Oregon state license, OR
    • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy AND Oregon state license, OR
    • Graduate degree in psychology, social work, or related fields, OR
    • Current Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification, OR
    • Qualified Mental Health Intern status as per defined regulations
