    Hoosier Racing Tire is the largest race tire manufacturer in the world. Hoosier has grown to produce over 1000 different types of race tires. The company has its own 300-mph test wheel; a technology center; state-of-the-art, fully integrated production facilities recently adding a high-tech mixing plant, with enough capacity to produce not only for Hoosier Racing Tire, but to have the ability to produce rubber for additional entities as well as a model sales and distribution network. Our Hoosier location in Plymouth, IN is seeking Production Operators to join our team.

    THE POSITION

    SCHEDULE

    This position will work a 40-hour workweek on the following schedule (eligible for $5.50 per hour shift differential):

    Friday - 2nd OR 3rd Shift (8 hours)

    Sat & Sun - 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. OR 12 p.m. - 12 a.m. (12 hours x 2)

    Monday - 2nd or 3rd Shift (8 hours)

    As a Production Operator with Hoosier Racing Tire, you have the opportunity to be hired and train for a variety of different roles Our roles include:

    Band Builder

    Calendar Operator

    Mixing Operator

    Final Finish Operator

    Press Operator

    Many More

    Specific responsibilities in each role can be discussed in detail during an interview, but general duties include:

    Measuring material length, width, and quality to ensure our product meets customer specifications.

    Read specifications, use hand tools, and gauging devices to monitor current and ongoing product quality.

    Reacting quickly to equipment downtime or other extraordinary condition, and notifying team lead whenever such conditions occur.

    Keeping work areas neat, clean, and orderly in order to maintain a safe work environment.

    Follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production.

    Follow all plant Safety and environmental policies.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Ability to follow instructions written in standard English.

    Must be able to work overtime, as needed.

    Ability to stand for long periods of time.

    Ability to bend, climb, squat, crawl, reach and twist frequently.

    Ability to lift 20-75 lbs. frequently and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

    Ability to train for a period of 4-12 weeks on 1st or 3rd shift.

    Manufacturing experience preferred.
