    What's the job?

    Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Regional Operation Manager is responsible for the direction and leadership of the assigned Branches.

    This role includes guiding the Branch Operations Managers in practices, which include warehousing, inventory control, building maintenance, fleet maintenance, health and safety, personnel training and employee development.

    The incumbent must have extensive knowledge in order to perform all transactions and activities originating from the front desk and warehouse, as a result, providing superior customer experience.

    Ensuring exemplary customer service is provided to all internal and external customers.
    Lead, direct and motivate a team
    Develop and implement new operational and warehousing strategies for creating or enhancing processes and procedures to improve branch performance
    Travel to branches on a regular basis to perform audits in order to review Building Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance and Health and Safety policies
    Travel as needed with the Regional Sales Managers to visit large account customers
    Actively participate in training new Warehouse Personnel (Lead Hands, Supervisors)
    Support the Branch Operations Manager is achieving or exceeding Branch specific Performance Targets
    Work with the Branch Operations Manager to show Y vs. Y improvements
    Review the Inventory Matrix with the Branch Operations Manager, Sales & Supply Chain
    Work closely with branch leaders as well as the sales team to continuously review the open order reports
    Communicate with the branch sales team on a regular basis to effectively resolve issues as required
    Train Branches on warehousing of new products and best practices (example: KWP, KP)
    Improve organizational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency at a branch level
    Address any health and safety concerns and ensure branches are compliant to company and provincial safety standards
    Work closely with the inventory department to perform counts when required
    Required Qualifications

    What do you bring?
    5 – 10 years warehouse experience (in a shipping and receiving environment)

    Skills Required:
    Leadership, lead by example
    Understanding policies, planning and strategy
    Ability to develop, implement and review company policies and procedures
    Ability to oversee budgeting, reporting, planning and auditing
    Understanding of necessary legal and regulatory documents (audits)
    Ability to address problems and opportunities for the company.
    Ability to build relationships with other team members and other branch personnel
    Ability to negotiate with vendors
    Good planning and innovative mind
    Able to work in a fast paced environment
    Ability to lift 80+ lbs
    Ability to travel with short notice
    Expected travel: 40% to 50% of the time
