    The Quality Manager will own and continually improve the functional management of quality engineering and inspection teams.

    The Quality Manager directly oversees a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors and reports directly to the Director of Operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.


    Other duties may be assigned:
    Analyze customer and regulatory requirements (e.g. engineering data, specifications, test plans, FAIR, AS9100,etc.)

    Work with leadership team to establish key business processes, document them effectively, and ensure that inputs and outputs are measured appropriately

    Support customer and 3rd party QMS audits

    Verify QMS compliance throughout the organization

    Drive continuous improvement in internal and external Quality measures and metrics

    Support implementation and effectiveness of Quality Systems including:

    Corrective Action System/Corrective Action Board

    Internal & External Audit

    Calibrations

    Document requirements using structured problem-solving tools (e.g. requirements matrix) to support problem resolution

    Promote a continuous improvement culture

    Develop and foster strong internal relationships throughout the organization to identify and resolve quality issues

    Identify and implement quality improvements to reduce product defects and/or improve process efficiency

    Identify non-conformance causes and implement robust corrective actions

    Coordinate several process improvements, cost reduction and/or defect reduction projects

    Direct management of Quality Engineers and Inspectors, overseeing daily activities and

    establishing/measuring

    long term goals and objectives

    Ensure quality and inspection processes are adequate and appropriate to ensure delivered product quality, both internally between departments, and externally to customers

    Support a safety-oriented culture within the company

    Participate in the development of the company's strategic planning, vision, mission and values and desired culture

    Provide good feedback and promote good communication

    Abide by and support all safety and quality system requirements

    Education and/or Experience :
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent, previous experience preferred.

    Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

    Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

    Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


    Reasoning Ability :


    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

    Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
