    About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking a *Mortgage Bank Branch
    Manager (SAFE) in Consumer Lending as part of Home Lending. For additional information on this line of business, refer to the external Careers Site at .

    In this role you will:


    Lead a team of Mortgage Bank Sales Consultants who are officed in physical branch locations.

    This team is primarily focused on serving Wells Fargo enterprise customers Collaborate and consult with bank leaders, peers and colleagues to continually serve existing Wells Fargo customers with their mortgage lending needs Manage sales activities to ensure high level of customer service, timely completion, quality, and compliance in mortgage retail sales Build and develop a high performing team through selecting, evaluating, coaching, directing and managing the sales activities of Mortgage Bank Sales Consultants Manage overall loan origination activities through the management of branch pipeline by adhering to workflow process and using internal tools and reporting to ensure origination, processing, underwriting and closing timelines are in line with communications and commitments to customers Inform and assist prospective and existing customers with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures Manage customer loyalty performance levels to include; ensuring timely and proactive customer communication, regular customer contact and/or inspection calls to customer, providing team with escalation and remediation process support Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development in less complex functional areas Understand policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Analyze detailed financial and credit data, matching customer needs with an appropriate loan program and level of risk Develop and maintain a high degree of visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace Continually expand knowledge of company products, policies and procedures, and underwriting requirements Understand federal and state home lending regulations and provide guidance and direction to branch teams to ensure compliance Perform miscellaneous duties as required
    Required Qualifications:

    4+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 2+ years of Leadership experience

    Desired Qualifications:

    2+ year of sales management experience 1+ year of data analysis experience 1+ year of experience in recruiting individuals or teams Mortgage industry experience Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals Working knowledge of compliance, policy and federal regulations Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Basic Microsoft Office skills

    Job Expectations:

    This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents. This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your employment start date. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) web site ) provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation.
