    The Electrical Maintenance Planner will plan, schedule, and coordinate projects, scheduled outages, and daily work for the Electrical & Instrumentation department; working closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and supervision to set priorities, source materials, and allocate manpower.


    Responsibilities:

    • Work with the E&I Supervisors to set priorities, plan work & projects, and allocate manpower.
    • Work with production, maintenance, and engineering to set priorities, plan outages and projects.
    • Work with the Electrical Reliability and Process Controls Engineers to allocate manpower for Reliability tasks & projects, including Scheduled Down Days and the Cold Mill Outage.
    • Attend work planning meetings and coordinate E&I activities with others.
    • Manage E&I items in JD Edwards: maintain documentation; monitor the E&I work backlog; create, assign, input information, and close work orders and PM's.
    • Monitor mill logbook systems: source parts, create work orders as needed.
    • Work with outside contractors to acquire quotes, plan, and schedule work.
    • Work with outside vendors to identify parts and acquire quotes.
    • Work with the Maintenance Support Specialist to produce requisitions, PO's.
    • Fill-in as relief supervisor for the E&I Supervisors
    • Provide weekend and holiday coverage on rotation.
    • All other assignments assigned by management

    Education & Experience:

    • Electrical Maintenance experience preferred
    • Supervisory experience preferred
    • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

    Required Competencies:

    • Good written and verbal communication skills as well as teamwork skills
    • Fluent written and spoken English
    • Experience with common industrial electrical controls and devices
    • Knowledge of electrical reliability including thermal, ultrasonic and motor testing.
    • Knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical hazards
    • Knowledge of electrical distribution equipment
    • Regular attendance at work is required. Ability to work additional hours during the week, on weekends, or outside of regular office hours may be required
    • The ability to work in a normal office environment to include: sitting or standing for long periods of time, operating various standard office equipment, carrying paper documents/files, reaching and bending, speaking on the telephone. May include safely walking through our manufacturing plant and wearing required personal protection gear (i.e. hearing and foot protection).
