    SUMMARY
    Toyota Tsusho America is looking for an experienced Human Resource Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, TX The Human Resource Specialist will work collaboratively with local management to promote best practices and will serve as a trusted advisor to management and team members. This role will assist management and team members with a full range of Human Resource services including: employee relations, FMLA, performance, and full-cycle recruiting.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as an employee advocate and liaison between management and employees to resolve problems.
    • Assist management to educate and coach management to ensure their alignment with and practice of the company's Positive Employee Relations philosophies, culture, policies and daily work interactions with employees.
    • Serve as primary point of contact for any form of employee complaints.
    • Conduct confidential investigations.
    • Provide full cycle recruiting for area of business.
    • Act as liaison with payroll, benefits and other members of HR for employees.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for local management and employees regarding LOA case management, including but not limited to; staying abreast of all state and local regulations and proficient knowledge of FMLA and ADA laws, policies, and procedures.
    • Stay abreast of local/state employment laws and inform HR Management of updates and changes. This includes Texas and California.
    • Utilize the company's online worker's compensation system to enter incident reports received from local management and to manage the case from beginning to conclusion in consultation with HR management and/or Legal, as necessary.
    • May be required to perform other related duties as the need arises and as directed by HR Management
    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    The ideal Human Resource Specials will have a Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field. Willing to substitute experience for education. The ideal Human Resource Specialist will have 3-5 years' experience in a HR Professional role.
