- Deliver outstanding customer service to dog owners by executing style requests, communicating clearly and honestly, and bringing a positive attitude to work daily.
- Provide exemplary cosmetic care for dogs and be gentle and patient with anxious and difficult dogs.
- Protect the best interests of our customers and their dogs, notifying owners of any concerns, including skin abnormalities, ear infections, ticks, and fleas.
- Help our organization grow by forming fruitful customer relationships that result in repeat visits.
- We are a restraint-free facility and work diligently to ensure that our dogs are treated with the kindest and loving care they so deserve. Grooming is very stressful, and we dont treat our dogs negatively.
- Clean and freshen pet hair by washing, shampooing, and conditioning it
- Shave, trim, and style pet hair according to the owners preferences.
- Maintain overall pet hygiene by clipping nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears
- Maintain a clean workstation by sanitizing and sweeping before the arrival of every client and at the end of every workday.
- Advise owners on at-home care tips and best practices for their pets
- Demonstrated passion for dogs.
- Ability to work comfortably with animals, including anxious ones.
- Ability to stand for at least two hours and lift animals weighing over 50 pounds.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- Willingness to coach and mentor team members on basic grooming techniques
- Well-developed verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience in pet grooming. Minimum of 1-2 yrs.
- Experience in customer service and upselling our products and services
- Experience with animals in a professional or volunteer capacity.
- Manage your schedule through our PoS system.
- Required to communicate with all pet parents when they arrive for their dog's appointments.
- Before-and-after photos of all dogs, photos of issues or situations found during grooming sessions, and all photos retained under the dogs' account in our PoS system.
- Professional certification (such as from the National Dog Groomers Association of America) is highly desired.

A dog that is in our care through the encouragement, support, and education of our team members, management, and owner to ensure that we create happy and healthy dogs.
Were looking for dog groomers to join our passionate team at Its A Dogs Life Resort & Spa. Dog groomers are a crucial part of our organization, building lasting relationships with customers and providing quality care to pets. This is a great opportunity for someone whos a dog lover and understands the ins and outs of grooming. The ideal candidate is hardworking, customer serviceoriented, and patient with dogs and people. Theres no better place to launch an exciting, fulfilling career in animal services than Its A Dogs Life Resort & Spa. Appreciate that we do not negatively restrain or handle our dogs. If a dog cannot be serviced using how we service, then management and owners are to be notified and the dog not serviced.
