    Overview


    The Medical Assistant 1 maintains department patient care supplies, rooms patients in a timely fashion, performs EKG's and Point of Care testing and assists physicians and nurses to provide optimal care to patients and families.

    Qualifications

    Certifications:
    Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)

    American Heart Association (AHA), Education:
    H.S.

    Diploma/GED (Required), Work Experience:
    Responsibilities


    Perform a variety of routine direct patient care duties to assist medical and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients.

    Maintains patient care environment and supplies to ensure patient privacy and safety.
    Obtain vitals and collect data for patients to be seen by provider. Perform waiting room and exam room rounding. Assist providers with procedures.

    Perform procedures, not limited to, EKG, ear wash, vision screening, dressing change, wound care, suture/staple removal,point of care testing and splint application.

    Collect and process specimens correctly. Cleaning and stocking exam rooms. Member of the code team. Apply and charge for Durable Medical Equipment as appropriate.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The compensation range for this position is $17.12per hour - $27.73per hour.

    This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health.

    The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
