    **Job Summary:**

    Expedite patient flow, meet and greet patients; collect and verify patients insurance coverage, pre-certification, update EPIC registration, select correct FSCs, prepare and complete paperwork in preparation for patients imaging; answer phones. Interact with referring physician offices in a timely and professional manner.

    **Responsibilities:**

    Obtain all insurance information, update registration in Epic, informing patients of insurance and billing protocols.

    Review pre-certifications confirming that all studies are correctly pre-certified. Obtain pre-certifications from referring physician office; contact insurance companies to confirm or verify pre-certification when necessary.

    Complete, explain and obtain guarantees of payment, promissory notes, ABN as necessary.

    Ensure that all required paperwork is at desk and prepare patient packet; obtain reports or other documentation as required in jacket.

    Obtain clinical information from Epic as necessary.

    Make appointments for patients and referring physician offices following practice protocols.

    Respond to patient and referring physician requests and other requests when asked.

    Cover other shifts as requested by supervisor to ensure that desk is staffed properly.

    Communicate directly with technologists and radiologists.

    Arrive all patients into Epic to ensure that all visits are logged and ready for charge entry.

    Collect payments from patients following ColumbiaDoctors cash handling protocols.

    Make appointments for exiting patients using computerized system carefully following department protocols.

    Conforms to all applicable HIPAA, and safety guidelines

    **Position Qualifications:**

    Minimum Education: High School Diploma

    Minimum Requirements: Minimum three years of physician practice; EPIC experience, radiology preferable; excellent interpersonal and communication skills
