The Benefits of working at BJ'sJob Summary:
As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for continuously replenishing empty bin locations with available stock.
You will also be responsible to put away all inbound received product in the proper bin locations to ensure product is stocked and ready to be picked.
Key Responsibilities:
Put away all product according to inventory control guidelinesCut the shrink wrap from pallets after they are placed in the proper bin locationWrap pallets to ensure stability, check pallet conditions, and stack safely for transport to storagePromptly report damage and all inventory discrepanciesMaintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areasMaintain all food safety, housekeeping, and other applicable standardsReplenish empty pick bins
Other duties as assignedQualifications:
High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience is a plusWarehouse experience preferred1 year reach truck experience requiredMust be able to pass operational fork truck test with 80% or betterHandle and prioritize requests from multiple sourcesBasic math skills to ensure proper height and counts per pallet and identify or verify pallet ID numbersAccuracy and attention to detailAbility to work at elevated heights while wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as fall protection harnesses)
Ability to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect)Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends, and holidaysEnvironmental Job Conditions:
Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs.
occasionallySit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environmentGrasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basisWork safely up to 36 feet in the air in the rack system to fix dumped pallets on an occasional basisBuild pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 50 poundsEndurance for continuous, fast paced workFluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees FahrenheitAble to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, etc.

At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $23.50.
