Job Ref: 24I/APPX)
As an Applications Engineer at Randox you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, maintaining and servicing medical devices, verifying and managing supplier changes and supporting engineer documentation.
You will work closely with other members of the customer service team to ensure that customer needs are met efficiently and effectively, while adhering to regulatory requirements for the medical device industry.
Specific to the ARDS project in the US, we require an applications engineers in both east and west to support the current and upcoming placements.
These staff would be dedicated to these sites, building up strong relationships, and could assist with other technical/engineering requirements within the US as needed.
The Role:
Implementation of quality control on Rx Series clinical chemistry instruments
Installation of Rx analyzers on customer sites
Extensive travel across USA
Deliver training in the operation and basic maintenance of analyzers to internal staff and external customers
Reviewing technical documents including clinical equipment manuals
Validation of analyzer products and reviewing IQ,OQ,PQ document
Providing technical and customer support
Fault-finding and troubleshooting assessing equipment malfunctions effectively
Adherence to company Positive work Environment Policies, health & safety procedures, and the maintenance of a safe working environment
Associated Skills:
Ability to operate various analyzers and analytical instrumentation
Record analytical data accurately
Be highly motivated and have the ability to work by themselves and as part of a multi-disciplined team
Understanding laboratory standards requirement
The Candidate:
Essential:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Science, Biomedical, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skill, with the ability to quicky identify and resolve technical issues
Detail orientated, with ability to maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements
Self-motivated, with ability to work independently and as part as a team
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks at once
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams
Desirable:
Experience in computer hardware
Previous experience with laboratory equipment and devices (clinical/immunoassay)
Previous experience in maintenance of electrical or medical equipment
Previous experience working in a regulated environment
Previous experience working in a laboratory
Experience of a variety of medical instrumentation
Experience of engineering
