    QUALIFICATIONS:


    EssentialWashington State Registered Nurse LicenseBachelor's degree or higher in nursing from a program accredited by the National League of Nursing AccreditationCommission or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing EducationFirst Aid/CPRExperience working with school age childrenAbility to maintain professional demeanor during challenging circumstances/situationsDiabetes care - willingness to care for students with Diabetes and other life threatening conditionsAbility to establish relationships with students, parents and communityPreferredSchool nurse experienceExperience working with special education students and familiesFamily practice or practical nurse experienceA demonstrated ability to work well with people from a variety of backgroundsSpecific DutiesAbility to work with other personnel and develop/maintain good relations.

    Demonstrate thorough knowledge of care and current clinical practice, treatments, and interventions, specific to position specialty.
    Ability to understand and monitor applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
    Promote patient's independence by establishing patient care goals.
    Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
    Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations.
    Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.

    Ability to deal tactfully with residents, students, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public, according to position setting.

    Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.
    Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping the information confidential.
    Demonstrate proficiency in written/verbal skills in English language.
    Sufficient computer skills required to perform duties.
    Hands on care of students with illnesses and injuries.
    Administer student medications according to health care provider orders.
    Maintain open/direct communication with student, parent/guardian, appropriate personnel.


    Salary:
    $38.70 per hour Base salary - $40.27 per hour Max SalarySalary will be dependent on placement on the salary schedule based on experience and education
