    Job Title: Receptionist, Bilingual ES

    Reports to: Campus Principal

    Dept/Campus: Assigned Campus

    Pay Grade: Paraprofessional - PG 2

    Wage/Status: Non-Exempt

    Days: 187

    Primary Purpose:

    Under moderate supervision, respond to inquiries from staff, and the public; provide requested information and/or referral to the appropriate parties; direct visitors; and provide general clerical support for the efficient operation of the transportation office.

    Education/Certification:

    High school diploma or GED

    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Ability to operate a phone system
    • Effective public relations, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to speak, read, and understands English
    • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
    • Familiar with transportation terminology
    • Proficient in keyboarding, data entry and retrieval, and file maintenance
    • Bilingual preferred
    Experience:

    One years of clerical experience in an office setting

    Essential Job Functions:
    • Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff as needed.
    • Greet visitors respond to their inquiries and/or direct them to appropriate personnel in accordance with district policies and procedures regarding building security.
    • Communicate and respond to bus driver and other transportation staff needs.
    • Research school transportation issues, review trends, new laws, etc. Report the information to the Director of Transportation.
    • Maintain visitor log.
    Other Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Provide clerical assistance as needed.
    • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
    • Maintain confidentiality of information.
    • Report to work in a timely manner according to assigned schedule.
    • Maintain professional interactions with staff, parents, community and visitors.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other administrator that are consistent with the general requirements and qualifications for the position.
