    Job Description

    As a Mammographic Technologist at Bearden-Josey Centers of Breast Health, you will play a crucial role in producing high quality mammographic images for screening, diagnosis, invasive breast procedures, and DEXA exams. You will be responsible for maintaining qualitative and quantitative standards set by our facility.

    Requirements

    • Associate's Degree from an approved AMA School of Radiologic Technology
    • Documented training specific to mammography and different modalities
    • Experience in performing mammogram exams and continuing education
    • ARRT registry in Radiography with Mammography certification
    • South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association Licenses
    • Current Basis Life Support (CPR and AED) certification

    Core Responsibilities

    • Perform mammograms and bone densitometry exams
    • Assist with invasive breast procedures
    • Review images for quality and tissue acquisition
    • Explain procedures to patients and communicate results
    • Coordinate with scheduling and registration to ensure proper orders
    • Collaborate with Breast Imaging Navigator for patient needs
    • Conduct general equipment assessments and report issues
    • Perform other assigned duties
