- Assists with all daily operations of a Transportation Cabinet Equipment Repair Garage.
- Assist Technicians with the maintenance and repair of automotive, medium, and/or heavy (off road) equipment.
- Assist the garage staff with the opening/completing repair orders.
- Assist with repair facility organization and provide equipment care as requested.
- Knowledge of Parts Inventory.
- Create and Complete Repair Orders.
- Broader repair knowledge of heavy equipment.
- Learn to Operate Non-CDL Equipment.
- Basic repair knowledge.
- Be capable of communicating and explaining repair/work performed.
- Be capable of identifying and using various hand tools and shop equipment.
- Basic computer skills.

By joining our Division of Equipment, Technician Section as a Transportation Auto/Truck Technician Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to assist technicians by performing routine work in the repair and maintenance of automotive, medium, and/or heavy equipment and learn to properly use related tools and equipment.
