    This role will be based in our Centre of Excellence in Hamilton. For the right candidate experience, we would consider other locations (Bay of Plenty or Wellington)

    About the Role

    We are looking for a driven and motivated insurance professional to join our team in a role where you will focus on managing a portfolio of local government clients. Whilst you will be picking up an established client base, you will also need to be proactive self-starter comfortable with generating new business, as well as building and maintaining trusted relationships.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:

    • Managing client servicing requirements
    • Identifying opportunities for growth both within your existing client base and new business
    • Providing professional, accurate and efficient responses to client needs through liaison with external stakeholders
    • Preparing proposals for new business opportunities
    • Coordinating client renewals and preparing premium calculations

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

    • Proven experience in insurance broking
    • The ability to deliver high standards of quality client services
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience working in local government is advantageous.
    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
    • Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
