- Provides adequate facilities, equipment, material, maintenance data, and qualified personnel to fulfill the repair station's regulatory obligations requirements.
- Establishes criteria for hiring associates for positions responsible for maintaining, supervising, or inspecting maintenance or alterations of civil aviation articles.
- Develops, maintains, and implements policies and procedures as necessary to comply with all applicable Code of Federal Regulations and to assure the continuing airworthiness of aircraft, components, and accessories serviced by the repair station.
- Establishes and controls the repair station functional procedures and guidelines. Interfaces with all personnel and management internally.
- Establishes liaison with air carriers respecting applicable CFR requirements.
- Ensures procedures for changes in ratings and location are properly followed and the transfer of assets are properly followed. Confirms the new owner is notified of its requirement to apply for an amended repair station certificate during the transfer of assets process.
- Ensures that any regulatory agency that bases its approval on the repair station certificate is notified of the suspension, revocation, or voluntary surrender of that certificate.
- Confirms changes in location, housing, and facilities are properly coordinated and approved by the FAA.
- Directs the compliance and maintenance of the anti-drug and alcohol misuse prevention program.
- Approves purchase requirements for materials, parts goods, and services.
- Serves as the point of contact with all customers and government agencies as required.
- Act on behalf of the repair station in matters described in applicable civil aviation regulations, including 14 CFR part 145.
- Fosters the Company's core values and culture throughout the work environment.
- Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential employees. Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports. Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff.
- Performs other projects duties as assigned or required.
- High school diploma or equivalent with an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license plus 8 years A&P experience on similar aircraft with at least five of those years in a supervisory/managerial position.
- Must meet the criteria of an FAR 119 Director of Maintenance Position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in business, management, aircraft maintenance, or related field.
- RII and Run and Taxi qualifications on applicable aircraft.
- Possess a stable employment history.
- Able to pass an FAA required 10 year work history review and pass criminal background and fingerprint checks.
- Willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
- Able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle and feel, reach with hands/arms up to 10% of the time.
- Able to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl up to 10% of the time.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds at least 10% of the time.
- Able to lift or move 75 pounds at least 10% of the time.
- Must be able to see to perform work and to see approaching vehicles, aircraft and machinery.
- Work near fumes or airborne particles over 10% of the time.
- Work in high, precarious places up to 10% of the time.
- Work in outdoor weather conditions within an open air hangar up to 20% of the time.
- The work environment can be loud.
- Able to work nights, evenings, weekends and holidays to support 24 hour operations.

POSITION PURPOSE
Directs the repair station, including overseeing the administration to ensure it complies with applicable regulatory requirements.
Ensures that all maintenance, inspections, airworthiness directives and selected service bulletins are properly performed and recorded in accordance with airline and FAA procedures and regulations.
