    We are seeking a Communication Systems Engineer to join a team developing software defined radios for satellite systems. Designs will implement innovative communication systems in a fast-paced R&D environment.

    A successful candidate will be a major contributor to the design and implementation from concept to realization and system integration.

    Position Requirements:
    In-depth knowledge of wireless communication systems.

    Expected to have detailed knowledge and substantial experience in one or more of the following area: advanced wireless communication techniques, MIMO system design, synchronization and equalization, advanced error correction techniques.

    Knowledge and direct experience in MIMO signal detection and ML decoding and detection techniques and its efficient implementation.
    Must be able to conduct system simulation, performance optimization and architectural trade-off for hardware and software implementation.

    Must have strong competency in simulating complex communication and signal processing algorithms in MATLAB and C, C++, scripting languages such as python, embedding coding on bare metal DSP/Microcontroller, 5 plus years coding under Linux and familiar with Linux tool chains, familiar with source control repositories, such as gitlab and perforce, multithreaded applications and socket programing, familiarity with lab equipment such as logic analyzer, scope, and network analyzer.

    FPGA design using VHDL and/or Simulink.


    Education and Experience:
    PhD required with course work in communication and signal processing.
    3+ years of related work experience strongly desired.


    Salary Range:
    $140,000 - $200,000

    Compensation depends on skills and experience level.
