• Champaign Role Overview Do you love meeting new people and helping them grow as Jewish leaders? Illinois Hillel is seeking a dynamic and creative Engagement Director to join our team.

We are looking for someone with energy, someone who likes to take initiative, and who has high organizational and communication skills to lead us in the next chapter of success for Jewish students in Champaign-Urbana.
Come join our team of 10 full-time professionals serving a community of 3,000 Jewish students.

You will build connections between students and develop meaningful and diverse Jewish experiences, work with the staff and student leaders to maximize Hillels outreach and mentor the next generation of Jewish leaders.

If you have a passion for Jewish life on campus, you love working collaboratively with a team and you are excited to meet new people the come with at the University of IllinoisWhat Youll Do Design and implement a strategic engagement plan for staff, student leaders, and internsSupervises and mentors Engagement interns in their Jewish growth through individual meetings and group trainings, to cultivate a Jewish community that is caring, diverse, welcoming, and actively inclusive.

Create relationships with studentsDevelop and implement Illini Hillels long term recruitment strategy, recruiting Jewish high school students to the University of IllinoisMaintain program attendance records for measurement and ongoing evaluation purposes.

Partakes in the recruitment and staffing for Immersive experiencesServe as a Jewish resource to students and groups on campusOther responsibilities as assigned.

What Youll Bring to the Job Bachelors degree and 3-5 years of full-time professional work experience.
Confidence in developing and running initiatives and comfort in asking questions.

Desire to motivate student leaders to engage their peers, deepen their Jewish identities, and think innovatively about program content and marketing.

Proud to be a Jewish role model and an interest in learning how to be an effective educatorA commitment to pluralism and comfort with your Jewish identity so you may act as a role model and mentor for emerging Jewish adults.

Supervisory experience preferredSuperior oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsMust be willing to work nights and occasional weekendsWhat Youll Receive Competitive salary in the nonprofit marketplace.

The salary range for this role is $50,000-$55,000A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, Life, AD&D and Long Term Disability (LTD) insurances, Flexible Spending accounts, generous vacation/sick time, and parental leave.
