    Job Description


    The Infrastructure Engineer plays a critical role in enhancing, delivering, and supporting high-quality services and systems within their area of responsibility.

    The primary objective is to enable Sage's business plans and long-term objectives by adhering to the established architecture.

    In this role, you will manage and maintain the global enterprise Microsoft Systems Centre platforms (SCCM & SCOM), and Kenna Vulnerability Management Platform.

    You will utilize SCCM and SCOM platforms as the central hub for endpoint management and global technology system and application monitoring.

    Collaborate with Windows and Linux systems engineers, application technical support analysts, developers, and internal and external support teams to determine monitoring requirements, events, alerts, dashboards, and reporting in various monitoring tools.

    Key Responsibilities


    Monitoring:

    • Provide support and maintenance within a team for the global monitoring system.
    • Establish and enhance the existing monitoring solution. Develop customized monitoring solutions for application monitoring.
    • Perform administrative tasks using the Operation Manager console, provide application support for the SCOM platform, and create/maintain monitoring and notification rules.
    • Review and implement SCOM console roles and custom Management Packs (MP) as needed.

    Endpoint Management:

    • Oversee software distribution and patch management, including building and deploying software packages to servers and workstations using Systems Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM).
    • Demonstrate expertise with SCCM 2016 / SCCM 2019.
    • Manage software distribution, server patch management, and hardware/software inventory auditing.

    Vulnerability Management:

    • Ensure Windows servers are updated to the latest OS versions.
    • Ensure all software on servers is up to date.
    • Mitigate vulnerabilities on servers to maintain a Kenna score below 650.

    Secondary Responsibilities:

    • Manage the Tooling ServiceNow queue.
    • Effectively communicate the use of technology to create business value and enhance efficiency.
    • Collaborate with project managers and peers to address technical challenges, provide effort estimates, enhance system functionality, improve reliability, and reduce costs.
    • Foster collaboration with Business Technology peers and management to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of organizational stakeholders.
