    This position is for a highly motivated Technical Project Manager/Bid and Pursuit Lead, whose charter is to coordinate scope and execution efforts across multiple teams as they develop requirements, software, test, and deploy mission critical, integrated software solutions for our customers
    This team develops and maintains several Avionics applications that allow our customer to Aviate, Navigate and Communicate

    What YOU will do:

    YOU will coordinate scope across multiple teams/organizations, partnering with technical Subject Matter Experts to produce design approach material and lead Bid and Proposal efforts to capture key pursuit efforts YOU will detail plan engineering efforts for a generational program and interface with team across the Nation YOU will guide team members on the creation of engineering plans, execution baselines, program execution, staffing plans, and technical risk assessments in support of customer expectations and business objectives.

    YOU will guide team members on the management of scope, schedule and budget for systems engineering activities; You must be well versed in using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) performance measurement; candidate must be able to assign and coordinate staffing.

    YOU will provide guidance and review bid and proposal activities for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and pursuits. YOU will lead engineering teams using strong interaction, interpersonal, mentoring and negotiating skills, and will be responsible for managing project risks/issues and elevating to upper management when appropriate
    In addition, you will be responsible for adhering to, and supporting Collins Aerospace process methodologies while managing commitments to meet project financial and schedule deliverables and quality requirements

    Education & Experience:
    Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

    Qualifications you must have:
    The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S
    government issued security clearance is required
    U.S
    citizenship is required, as only U.S
    citizens are eligible for a security clearance
    Experience in all phases of product development (full life cycle) in Software Engineering programs. Previous experience as an engineering leader, lead software/systems engineer, project lead, or IPT lead

    Skills we value:

    Experience in software engineering within Avionics or Mission engineering
    Experience/knowledge with Agile development.
