POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Senior Process Optimization Specialist your roles and responsibilities will include:

• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex operational data to drive process improvements.
• Partner with maintenance leadership on predictive and reliability-based maintenance planning.
• Collaborate with finance and technology teams to monitor/manage fixed and variable costs.
• Plan and oversee production shutdowns and ensure regulatory and preventive maintenance compliance.
• Support capital project engineers in evaluating expenditures and promoting cost-effective, reliable solutions.
• Provide oversight to third-party contractors-ensuring safety, priorities, and skill development.
• Benchmark best practices and contribute to long-term strategy across departments.
• Work independently on complex issues, escalating only the most advanced challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Senior Process Optimization Specialist who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Senior Process Optimization Specialist would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of relevant process/operations engineering experience.
• Strong engineering subject matter knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Lean Certification / Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Strong project management and continuous improvement background.
• Data analysis skills; proficiency in PI (data historian), MS Project, Seeq, or Minitab.
• Knowledge of wet/dry corn milling, ethanol production, or corn sweetener production.
