    Position Description

    The LOFT Summer Program Coordinator LTE will assist in delivering an exceptional summer program for local youth at Goodman Community Center. This role involves adapting planned activities to cater to the needs of our dynamic youth, building relationships with students, families, high schools, and community partners to provide various opportunities, including academic support and college preparation.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications

    • Must pass required background checks
    • Hold a valid driver's license and be willing to drive a 15-passenger van
    • Possess strong organizational, facilitation, and leadership skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Preferred experience with youth employment
    • Availability for occasional weekend and evening hours

    Responsibilities

    • Support youth through experiential learning
    • Establish and foster partnerships with relevant organizations aligning with GCC youth programs
    • Develop lasting mentoring relationships with youth
    • Create safe spaces for youth to engage and learn
    • Communicate regularly with youth families on program updates
    • Recruit youth through various channels with a focus on at-risk and lower-income youth
    • Provide positive behavior management and conflict resolution for youth
    • Ensure program compliance with standards and requirements
    • Supervise volunteer staff and relay feedback to Volunteer Manager
    • Plan and support GCC-wide events for interdepartmental cooperation
    • Offer learning opportunities for staff related to youth college and career readiness
    • Promote equity in staff and youth opportunities
    • Perform additional job-related tasks as needed
