    JOB TITLE: Pharma Market Research, Vice President

    DURATION: FTE

    LOCATION: Princeton, New Jersey & Boston, MA

    TYPE: Hybrid (2 Days on-site)

    REPORTS TO: President

    THE CHALLENGE:

    The Vice President role encompasses four key streams of responsibility: commercial focus, research skills, people management, and leadership. This position involves generating sales from new and existing clients, overseeing the US team's sales and client management responsibilities, and ensuring revenue targets are met.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Commercial Focus/Account Management:

    • Take responsibility for a significant portion of the company's financial target (approximately $2m).
    • Maximize profitability by understanding sales, overheads, and net profit.
    • Develop, maintain, and expand assigned client accounts.
    • Lead the team in creating and implementing client account plans.
    • Identify opportunities for commercially relevant projects within designated accounts.
    • Monitor the financial status of client accounts and oversee account leads in the US.

    Client Project Skills:

    • Lead research projects, taking ownership of all elements.
    • Understand clients' needs, issues, and concerns and implement them across research projects.
    • Ensure all project tasks are carried out according to company processes and procedures.
    • Design qualitative and quantitative research studies.
    • Direct the development of research materials and presentations.
    • Present project debriefs and facilitate interactive workshops with clients.
    • Ensure key deliverables are provided to clients on time and to client's standards.

    People Management:

    • Line manages direct reports and supports Directors/AD in line management.
    • Delegate and provide ongoing support to executives.
    • Provide ongoing support, training/coaching, and constructive feedback to team members.
    • Coordinate project teams to ensure optimal allocation of tasks and balance resourcing needs.

    Company Development and Leadership:

    • Take responsibility for additional projects to enhance the company's profile.
    • Identify and implement changes throughout the company to improve project quality, efficiency, and profitability.
    • Actively seek and implement new opportunities to develop the company's offerings.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
    • 10+ years of experience in supplier-side marketing research, with progressively increasing responsibility.
    • Extensive experience working with healthcare and/or pharmaceutical insights and/or consulting client base.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed personal sales targets of $2.0M+ annually.
    • Management experience of a high-performing sales/accounts team.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
