    The Monarch San Antonio - A Legacy of Service and Sophistication
    The Monarch San Antonio, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is a 200-room, 17-story boutique hotel located in the Hemisfair District of downtown San Antonio. It is set to open in early 2026 and is inspired by the Monarch butterfly that migrates through the region each winter. The hotel will feature a full-service spa, a terrace pool, and five food and beverage concepts, including a rooftop restaurant and bar.
    Just steps from the iconic River Walk and The Alamo, The Monarch will offer more than a place to stay. It will be a place to belong, to connect, and to be inspired.

    Position Overview
    The Expediter at Aleteo Rooftop Restaurant is responsible for coordinating communication between the culinary and front of house teams to ensure timely, accurate, and visually appealing food delivery in a high energy rooftop environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining service flow, pacing, and presentation standards while supporting an exceptional guest experience.
    Essential Functions
    Service Coordination and Flow
    • Coordinate communication between kitchen and front of house teams during service.
    • Monitor ticket times and control pacing of food service to align with dining room flow.
    • Communicate delays, special requests, and order modifications clearly.
    • Support efficient execution during high volume service periods.
    Food Quality and Presentation
    • Verify accuracy, quality, and presentation of all dishes prior to delivery.
    • Ensure plates are garnished, finished, and presented according to standards.
    • Address quality or timing concerns with culinary leadership immediately.
    • Maintain consistency in presentation throughout service.
    Operational Responsibilities
    • Organize and manage the expo line during service.
    • Coordinate food runners to ensure efficient and accurate food delivery.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo and pass areas.
    • Support opening and closing side work related to expo operations.
    Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with chefs, line cooks, food runners, servers, and leadership.
    • Maintain clear, calm, and professional communication during peak periods.
    • Support a positive and respectful working environment.
    • Accept coaching and feedback to support continuous improvement.
    Compliance and Safety
    • Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
    • Adhere to company policies and brand standards.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
    Other Duties
    • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by restaurant leadership.
    • Maintain availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    Qualifications
    • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience required.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Food and Alcohol Service Certifications required or ability to obtain.
