Job summary
reservation specialists are the heart of the campground's front-facing operations combining customer service reservations retail transactions and daily office upkeep to ensure every guest interaction welcoming accurate efficient reservation specialists serve as the front desk team store attendants and check in support staff playing a key role in creating a positive guest experience from arrival to departure this is a seasonal position with employment typically running from mid march or early april through the end of october or the first week of november depending on operational needs and calendar dates hours overview sunday thursday 9am8pm friday saturday 9am10pm primary responsibilities include creating modifying managing campground reservations assisting guests with changes to existing reservations processing seasonal camper payments overnight guest payments answering phones emails inquiries professionally courteously providing accurate information regarding campground policies amenities events serving as primary front desk contact for guests visitors preparing checkin packets for overnight guests seasonal campers assisting with guest checkin process during peak times activating gate keys managing gate access monitoring gate activity during assigned shifts performing gate checkins weekends scheduled times physically assisting at gate when required operating store register maintaining accurate cash drawer processing sales transactions handling payments responsibly maintaining accountability for all cash handling pointofsale procedures stock shelves maintaining organized product displays monitoring inventory levels notifying management items ordered assist inventory counts restocking procedures maintaining clean organized welcoming office store environment refilling slushee coffee machines watering flowers exterior area surrounding office building general cleaning organization tasks needed being part of team means being part of whole team while each position has specific responsibilities team members may be asked assist tasks outside primary job description needed we do not operate that's my job mindset instead we work together support one another step help required ensuring best experience guests fellow team members roundup lake family our teammates expected float adapt assist whenever wherever help required schedule seasonality this is seasonal position typical employment period mid march early april through late october early november depending on seasonal operations hours may include weekdays weekends holidays peak event periods employment will conclude at end operating season due to seasonal nature role qualifications strong customer service communication skills ability multitask fastpaced environment basic math cashhandling skills comfortable using computer systems reservations salaries able stand extended periods perform light physical tasks stocking cleaning watering plants benefits fun teamoriented work environment employee appreciation parties staff events provided uniform employee discounts merchandise campground reservations complimentary access park amenities including lake boat rentals inflatable water obstacle course swimming pool scheduled activities live music entertainment valid_job:1}quired
