    About the Role
    Sr.

    Quality Engineer wanted in Montezuma, Iowa to implement total quality programs by using his theoretical knowledge of industrial and mechanical engineering; design, specify, and install quality control sampling systems, testing mechanisms, and equipment, formulate quality control policies, procedures, and development of quality standards; serve as a liaison, coordinate activity of internal and external resources, and assist internal and external contacts to resolve product and process problems; analyze and develop supplier products to obtain maximum productivity and review performance in operation and provide suggestions for improvement; Prepare and update quality system procedures/policies as required to meet applicable standards (IATF16949, ISO, etc.); Schedule, conduct/perform and maintain Layered Process Audits, IATF16949 audits, ISO14001 audits and internal audits and verify action plans are developed and completed; Liaison with third party auditors regarding audit scheduling and general communication; Develop and approve gauging for new programs and/or gage revisions to existing programs; Implementation and maintain the Statistical Process Control system; Conduct product capability studies/analysis and other specialized statistical analysis; Analyze statistical data and initiate corrective actions or inspection frequency changes; Train associates in SPC methods and data collection systems use; Provide instruction and guidance to inspection personal in the use of inspection equipment and interpretation of quality instructions and standards; Liaise with customer and/or supplier for quality systems to meet and exceed IATF 16949 requirements through customer visits and building of customer relations; Prepare control plans and inspection instructions/check list; Provide assistance and support as a member of the APQP team; Perform PPAP sample submissions; Schedule CMM and coordinate gage calibration system; Promote and practice "safety first" policy by addressing any hazards, defective equipment or unsafe situations immediately; \ Recommend and encourage others to recommend proposals for improving products processes, systems, productivity and work environment through the continuous improvement process; use SharePoint to list non-conformance related to internal and external IATF 16949; participate in internal and external audits for IATF 16949 compliance; use Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP, Statistical Process Control (SPC) Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA) and Product Part Approval Process (PPAP); create quality management system reports and support BMS Compliance team; engage in quality management activities using MS Excel and PowerPoint; support internal and external auditors and quality engineers related to the audit plan and tasks; and, assist in modifying and creating various quality management systems processes and perform other duties as required.

    Requires a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering and 6 months of related experience as a Quality Engineer, Co-op Corporate Quality, Student Assistant or Project Intern.

    The related experience must include using SharePoint to list non-conformance related to internal and external IATF 16949; participating in internal and external audits for IATF 16949 compliance; using Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP, Statistical Process Control (SPC)


    Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA) and Product Part Approval Process (PPAP); creating quality management system reports and support BMS Compliance team; engaging in quality management activities using MS Excel and PowerPoint; supporting internal and external auditors and quality engineers related to the audit plan and tasks; and, assisting in modifying and creating various quality management systems processes.


    40 hrs/wk, 8:
    00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; M-F, $67,517.00 $89,880.00 per year.
