ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Support the installation, configuration, management and modification of infrastructure technologies and servers including virtual servers and Windows operating systems

Track server activity, performing upgrades of software, maintaining computer hardware, addressing questions about technical problems, and improving efficiency by evaluating system functions

Create and verify backups of data

Responsible for user account creation and termination; creates User IDs, roles, groups, and OUs in Active Directory

Communicate to Information Systems Manager with recommendations for hardware and software needs

Maintain asset management, including an inventory of all computers, servers, peripheral devices, and licenses

Support and enforce security solutions, including passwords, firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection devices

Create and maintain relevant documentation on projects assigned and completed

Use helpdesk software to answer, monitor and manage user submitted tickets

Participate in after-hours on-call schedule
