    As a SONIC Carhop, you're part of a special team, playing a role that stands out. Being a Carhop (also known as a super cool food server) is like being an astronaut, except you're in a drive-in restaurant instead of space, and the food is way tastier. Your main job is to serve and deliver food safely and efficiently, ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience at SONIC Drive-In restaurants.

    When you're a SONIC Drive-In Carhop, your key role is to give every guest a SuperSONIC experience by:

    • Providing a warm, friendly, and quick experience to every guest
    • Being a menu expert and helping SONIC customers with all customizable options
    • Having the authority to address customer concerns, making sure every guest leaves happy
    • Maintaining high SONIC safety and sanitation standards

    Some SONIC Drive-Ins have Skating Carhop servers:

    • Skating Carhop servers add a special touch to the guest experience and are exclusive to the SONIC Drive-In brand.
    • Skating Carhop servers go through the SONIC Skating Training Program.
    • After completing this program, Skating Carhops carry out the above duties while roller skating.

    Requirements:

    Carhop/Skating Carhop server requirements:

    • Infectiously positive attitude (You represent the SONIC Brand)
    • Ability to stay calm, especially in challenging situations
    • Resilient mindset – understanding that mistakes happen and being able to recover
    • Desire to learn and develop
    • Team player mentality and readiness to assist where necessary
    • Strong communication skills; basic math and reading abilities
    • Readiness to work varied hours; evenings, weekends, and holidays

    • Friendly and cheerful individuals who enjoy offering polite service to restaurant guests
    • Openness to be trained on all stations – things stay interesting here
    • Team player who prioritizes cleanliness and safety
