We are seeking a talented attorney to join our business and banking group who wants to enjoy both the practice of law and the outdoor/cultural opportunities in the Berkshires. We are a team with big city experience handling sophisticated matters, who love heading out to the Berkshires' mountains, lakes, rivers, concerts, and museums. We are a growing firm with offices in Pittsfield, Great Barrington, and Williamstown, offering excellent opportunities, including partnership track, for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the organization of business entities, business transactions, and/or commercial real estate and land use planning. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, a good sense of humor, and the ability to manage a variety of projects. Experience in general corporate and partnership law, mergers and acquisitions, and high-level transactions work, OR experience representing clients in real estate acquisition and disposition transactions, financing, land use transactional matters, including commercial real estate lending, construction lending, title matters, commercial leasing, and land use permitting is strongly preferred.
For the right candidate, this position is remote with the expectation of traveling to our Pittsfield office for client and other business meetings as necessary. Candidates who expect to have significant commercial real estate responsibilities should live within 75 minutes' driving distance of our Pittsfield office.
The candidate should be licensed in the State Bar of Massachusetts.
The candidate needs to have 3 years of experience in the dedicated ONLY to the organization of business entities, business transactions, and/or commercial real estate and land use planning as mentioned above.
The Billable hours associated to this role have not been shared with to be discussed in initial screening process
There are performance based bonuses distributed on year-ends described by the client as very generous chunk of their employees' salary and the candidates are encouraged to have a conversation with any of the Partners once selected for the interview process.
Interview Process
The interview process is lengthy and extensive.
The candidate will be expected to meet the Business Group Partners and Attorneys in-person despite the role being fully remote.
