Position Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of buildings, grounds, and facilities. This includes vacuuming and buffing floors, shampooing carpets, emptying trash receptacles, and replacing their liners.

Main Responsibilities:

• Clean floors by sweeping and mopping.
• Maintain building cleanliness by emptying trash, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect laboratory equipment.
• Sterilize patient rooms.
• Ensure building security and safety by tasks such as locking doors after hours and inspecting electrical appliances to prevent hazards.
• Steam clean carpets.
• Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Mix various cleaning agents.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
• Apply a floor coating and then buff it.
• Apply sealant to floors.
• Clean and maintain restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
• Mow lawns, trim shrubbery, plant flowers, and apply pesticides.
• Move heavy equipment and furniture.
• Identify potential repairs and report them.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs.
• Remove snow from sidewalks and sprinkle salt on the surface.
• Prevent insect and rodent infestation by spraying insecticides and fumigants.
