- Reports to the Assistant Pharmacy Operations Manger
- Performance evaluation from the Assistant Pharmacy Operations Manager
- Develop and implement clinical intervention strategies for the dispensing location.
- Use communication and organizational skills to effectively educate fellow pharmacy staff and allied health professionals.
- Serve as a resource in assessing the significance of clinical issues that occur in the dispensing pharmacy and provide leadership in determining the action to be taken.
- Communicate professionally with customers concerning medication interactions, allergies, dosing, storage and disposition.
- Check new and refill medication orders for interactions, allergies and duplicate therapy.
- Answer drug information questions and prepare responses according to the established format.
- Verify final packaged medication product for accuracy and quality.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians in the packaging and compounding of medications.
- Participate in the determination of, and monitoring parameters of, effective medication use such as various laboratory procedures, vital sign monitoring, various assessment tools, and other documents.
- Compile reports as necessary to educate and inform facility staff.
- Attend company planning sessions and meetings as scheduled.
- Cooperate fully with personnel from other divisions of Neil Medical Group and Hillco.
- Perform other duties as may be required to ensure high standards of professional practice for the pharmacy services division.
