    The Role

    The Associate will be supporting the Art Collection Education and Outreach Manager, with broad exposure to strategic projects and the Fidelity Art program, part of the Pembroke organization. You will contribute to a program that researches, collects, and cares for over 12,000 contemporary works of art located in over 240 sites. The team enhances employee and customer/visitor experience through a robust calendar of Art education programs.



    Specific responsibilities will include:
    • Researching new artists brought into the Fidelity Art Collection over the last year and writing about them, including artwork sourced for Commonwealth Pier, a multi-year strategic development project for Fidelity
    • Sitting in on curatorial meetings and project meetings
    • Updating the Fidelity Art Collection database
    • Assisting with summer art programming
    • Completing a summer research project to support education and curatorial goals
    • Assisting with collection inventories in Fidelity's New England sites
    • Assisting with periodic art installations in Fidelity's New England sites


    The Expertise and Skills You Bring
    • 2-3 years college, studying Studio Art, Art History, Design or related courses
    • Experience (courses, internships) working with artists, museums, studios, collections preferred
    • Strong written communication skills and ability translate research on artists/artwork for broader audiences as well as senior Executives
    • Ability to work independently and with teams
