    In this role, you will provide design , project management and technical assistance on site investigation, remediation (both in-situ and ex-situ) , and environmental construction projects for clients locally, nationally and internationally.

    As a Principal Consultant, you will contribute your leadership, client relationship, and technical consulting skills to support the growth of ERMs business and client base in California , while networking with ERM's global LPMR technical team and technology experts to share best practices across the industry.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Oversee, manage and provide technical expertise on site investigation and remediation projects for a variety of clients with complex technical/regulatory issues in the chemical, manufacturing, power/utility and other industrial sectors.

    Design and negotiate remedial solutions for contaminated soil, groundwater, vapor, and sediment, using innovative and emerging remedial treatment technologies as well as traditional systems.

    Oversee multiple projects within clients scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables across ERMs LPMR service lines [e.g., Brownfields redevelopment, site investigation and remediation, liability evaluation and cost estimation, risk assessment, and site closure].Assist clients in developing and implementing contaminated site management strategies.

    Evaluate various remedial technologies for applicability at specific sites (e.g. , feasibility screening).Perform remediation design tasks including evaluating field data, performing calculations, estimating quantities and costs, and preparing design reports .Appropriately delegate project assignments to project teams and mentor junior staff.

    Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business to grow the LPMR area in the Mid-Atlantic/ Southeast and across the North America chemical and manufacturing sectors.

    Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads.
    Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees.


    REQUIREMENTS:


    Bachelors or Master s engineering or geology .Professional Engineer license in California, or ability to apply for reciprocal license in California .10+ years relevant experience working with significant industrial clients on complex site investigation/remediation and construction projects under a variety of state, federal, and international regulatory structures.

    Experience guiding a team through all steps of a remediation design project.
    E xperience preparing detailed technical and environmental reports.
    Experience interacting with regulators and clients to facilitate project progress.
    Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and people skills.
    Current Health and Safety training (HAZWOPER 40 hour training and OSHA 30-hr Construction training) a plus.
    For the Principal Environmental Consultant position , we anticipate the annual base pay of $114,966 $148,173 USD.

    An employees pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, butnot limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

    We also may have instances where employees fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above.

    This job may beeligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are NOT bonus eligible).We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life & disability insurance to benefits eligible* employees.*Benefits Eligibility is limited to Regular employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week.

    Fixed-Term employees (including flex force) who are regularly scheduled to work 20 hours a week or more are eligible for a limited benefits package.
