- Understand the needs of the Pet Parents for "doing what's "best for their pet"
- Consult and advise as to the best solution Brookside Barkery can provide to improve the health of their loved one
- Be friendly, personable, genuine and authentic.
- Be a great Team Member, putting the team's needs ahead of your own
- Being reliable and showing up on time for shifts
- Bathing experience is a must - we are very busy groom shop
- Some pet industry experience a plus, but not required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build rapport with pet parents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong operational mindset - we run clean, neat and organized stores
- Team player - we always operate as a team and help each other
- Available and flexible in schedule, both weekday and weekends and ready to cover other shifts that come available when needed

Job DescriptionAt Brookside Barkery we are seeking a Retail Pet Pros to become an integral part of our growing team You will be responsible for advising Pet Parents on their pet food, pet toys, pet services and pet accessories. We believe in "Better Health through Better Nutrition" for both dogs and cats, thus learning about the benefits of pet nutrition is a must.
