    We are currently seeking a Staff Software Validation Engineer to join our Software Quality and Validation Engineering team. This requires an experienced professional with a background in software quality assurance and system validation. The ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, possess the ability to learn quickly, and strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

    The Role:

    • Own end-to-end system validation of vehicle software including but not limited to ADAS, performance attributes, infotainment, comfort, safety, security, charging, chassis, powertrain
    • Identify, document, and manage system test & validation requirements at the vehicle level
    • Plan and execute testing in extreme environments to ensure performance of the system meets specifications by using FMEA
    • Create & amend manual/automated test cases to perform system validation
    • Align and support SQA processes and activities within functional areas such as System, Hardware and Safety
    • Troubleshoot systems/sub-systems/component using lab and measurement equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters as well as tools such as Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, etc.
    • Support manufacturing and service teams with troubleshooting
    • Identify gaps and areas for improvements and drive to a solution
    • Mentor and guide junior team members

    Qualifications:

    • 6+ years of Automotive testing experience
    • 8+ years with hands-on experience in creating and executing test cases supporting validation of large-scale programs & products.
    • Experience with MATLAB, Vector and/or Peak CAN based tools
    • Knowledge of ASPICE, APQP, ISO26262, FMVSS and SAE standards and practices

    Preferred:

    • Experience with languages like Python, C, C++ is a plus
    • Experience task and requirements management tools like JIRA and JAMA

    Education:

    • BS minimum in an engineering discipline (computer science, electrical engineering, Mechanical or similar)
    Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. · California (Bay Area) - $150,000-$195,000 Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
